Doc Shebeleza: Cassper Nyovest owes me nothing! The Ghets Ghetsa hitmaker spoke out in defense of award-winning hip hop artist, Cassper Nyovest.

This comes after he was recently hospitalised and underwent surgery.

Following news of Doc Shebeleza’s hospitalisation, social media users called on Cassper to step in and help Doc Shebeleza financially. Cassper released a song named after Doc in 2014.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Doc Shebeleza, whose real name is Victor Bogopane, firmly said Cassper owes him nothing and should not feel obligated to provide help.

“I don’t want people to bombard Cassper. I see videos on social media where people are saying: ‘Cassper must come on board.’ For what? I do not like that and I do not want it,” said Doc Shebeleza.

The 51-year-old emphasised that Cassper is not responsible for covering his medical expenses.

“I don’t like people telling Cassper what to do. He is a businessman and he comes to me on his own. Cassper is not responsible for paying my hospital bills. There are many people Cassper is already helping. I also helped him in the past and I never wanted anything in return,” he said.

Doc Shebeleza made it clear that he has no financial expectations from Cassper.

“I said to Cassper: ‘I don’t need any money.’ Why would I ask for money if I have money? I told him to help those who truly need it. You don’t help people because they have money. He came and prayed for me, along with my colleagues,” he explained.

Despite seeking donations for a second surgery scheduled for February 2025, Doc Shebeleza urged fans to stop pressuring Cassper to get involved.

“Let Cassper focus on helping others in need. I’m grateful for the prayers and support, but I don’t want anyone forcing him to help me,” he said.

Cassper’s manager, Tlee Moiloa said Cassper cannot control what people say.

“Cassper does not have a comment regarding what people are saying. What matters is what Doc Shebeleza is saying,” said Tlee.
