Four people, including two school pupils, were shot in Eldorado Park, south of Johannesburg on Wednesday.

It’s believed the pupils were making their way home from school when they were caught in what may have been crossfire.

Police are appealing to the community to come forward with information.

No arrests have been made.

“A shooting took place next to one of the flats in Eldos. Police were dispatched. When they arrived the victims had already been taken to hospital,” SAPS spokesperson Mavela Masondo said.

“Four people were hit by bullets, two are learners, not sure of the motive but the probe has started.”

Police have called on anyone with information to come forward. Anonymous tips can be reported through Crime Stop via 08 600 10111.
