Following the death of TV and radio personality Kuli Roberts, her friend Nambitha Ben-Mazwi has has taken to her Instagram page and penned a heartfelt message.
Nambitha said she spoke to Kuli a few minutes before she passed away and she promised to talk to her later.
“Kuli, I am shaking writing this because we spoke minutes before you passed and I’m still waiting for you to call me back. Or turn those grey ticks to blue and respond. Wow.
“Your last words to me last night, after our call was cut short, is “no issue, chat later boo”. I will hold onto those words, as I know you are with God and we will indeed chat later in due time.”
On Thursday morning, Mzansi woke up to the sad news that Kuli had died after she collapsed on Wednesday night.
In a statement, the Roberts and Mboya families revealed that Kuli passed away in Johannesburg although her cause of death was not revealed.
Kuli, an all-round media personality, left behind her two children, one beloved grandchild, her parents, and three siblings.
Her memorial and burial date will be confirmed in due course.
The Roberts family asked for privacy as they go through this difficult phase.
After it was announced that Kuli passed on, fond pictures and videos of her emerged as social media users shared their condolence messages.
One of the videos that is currently circulating is an interview she had with MacG where the latter asked her what she would like to be remembered for when all is said and done.
Kuli said she doesn’t want to be remembered.
“I don’t want to be remembered. But 8 want you guys to take care of yourselves.”
