Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga wont visit Lufuno Mavhunga’s funeral. After the video of a student being assaulted at Mbilwi High School went viral on Tuesday and got everybody talking about it, South Africans went as far as demanding justice for the victim Lufuno Mavhunga who allegedly committed su_icide on Monday after being assaulted.
Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga have finally broken the silence about the entire matter and she says she will not be visiting the school despite being in Limpopo Province.
According to a Facebook page by Lutendo Bobodi, South African Broadcasting Corporation news reporter, Motshekga said she trusts the province’s education authorities and will just wait for the reports from the provincial education department.
“Basic education minister Angie Motshekga says she will not visit either Mbilwi or the family of Lufuno Mavhunga as she trusts Limpopo province’s education authorities to deal with the matter. She says she will await their report. She’s currently on an official visit in Limpopo,” the post reads.
