See why some Muvhango actors might lose their jobs. “No Jab, No Job” Policy Passed For SABC 2
Muvhango is a prime-time television soap opera that centers around the lives of the royal Mukwevho family led by family patriarch and village chief Azwindini Mukwevho.
The series set in the fictional rural village of Thathe and the metropolis of Johannesburg juxtaposes traditional beliefs and ways of living with the challenges of modern life in the city.
A few months ago it was reported that the popular show producers have allegedly called out all cast members to vaccinate if ever they are willing to keep their jobs.
Now it does seems that the mandate has come to pass, as the cast and crew of South African soap opera, will receive their covid-19 jabs.
The more vaccinated people, the extra this may boost the country’s economy, particularly the creative and sports economies, live shows, and music festivals,” Muvhango said in their announcement.
Meanwhile, according to Sunday World approximately two hundred members, inclusively the cast, production employees, and administrators will be at the site joined with the aid of the Minister of Health Dr. Joe Phaahla, Gauteng MEC for Sport, Art, Culture, and Recreation Mbali Hlope, and the MEC for Health Dr. Nomathemba Mokgethi to receive jabs on the SABC places of work in Auckland Park.
