This Man Broke Mzansi Record For Lobola Money Paid After Marrying His High School Sweetheart. A weekend wedding ceremony in Ulundi, KwaZulu Natal has gone down as one of the most expensive and extravagant in Mzansi history.

According to eye witnesses, the groom flashed over R1 million for his bride at the traditional ceremony. THe bride was clad in a “wedding dress” made entirely out of R100 notes. It’s believed the wedding dress was made up of a total of R150 000 and the tailor who made it charged R30 000. All these are in real notes.

The bride spared no expenses in spoiling his wife. Video footage from the ceremony has been doing the rounds. In the video footage below, the groom can again be seen “paying” in R100 notes while his hype men is singing clan praises and urging him to pay more money.

“He is 34 years old and owns about 23 trucks and many taxis. This year he started a construction business and employs the community> He is loved and the lady he married is his high school sweetheart. They have tw kids together. SHe stoodby him through thick and thin when they had nothing”, he said.
