Maps was arrested for reckless and negligent driving in Tshwane in April of this year.

The star was speeding in his Mercedes-Benz when the incident happened and was busted for speeding by Tshwane Metro police.

Daily Sun reported that Maps was caught driving like Lewis Hamilton on a public road in Wierdabrug, an area that’s a little bit outside of Tshwane.

Police spokesperson, Kay Makhubele, confirmed that Nay was arrested and charged with reckless and negligent driving.

Maps who shot to fame after being cast on SABC 1’s Uzalo and Skeem Saam as Mxolosi, was currently acting as Dingane on the Mzansi Magic production, The Queen.

Sources also claim that the Ferguson’s were looking for a reason to let him go as fans were not happy with his character and delivery on the show. Dingane who is a Shaka lookalike was supposed to replace SK Khoza who played Shaka after he got fired last year. But things didn’t go well for the actor as he seemed to struggle to connect with his co-stars on-screen and his role.

They re-hired Sk Khoza as they couldn’t ignore the petition signed by thousands of fans who loved and preferred Shaka more than Nay Maps character; Dingane.

The actor was obviously completely humiliated by his exit from The Queen especially after resigning from Uzalo for greener pastures.

Maps and Ferguson’s have been Mum about his departure because they’re avoiding more negative publicity. The handsome actor who’s also a musician is currently concentrating on his clothing range; @naymapsclothing (which can be seen on his Instagram) caters to men and women in all sizes.
