Videos: Zimbabwean’s being chased down by South Africans in Turffontein, Johannesburg. A former CNN and BBC employee by the name Hopewell Chin’ono has caused quite an uproar on social media after he revealed something that has been happening behind the scenes.

It’s no secret that there has been some tensions of some sort in relation to how some Zimbabweans have been illegally residing in South Africa. The former CNN journalist posted a number of videos depicting what some Zimbabweans have been facing in Mzansi.

One video in particular showed a section of the South African Police Service apprehending some undocumented Zimbabweans, among whom were vegetable sellers at a market. Some people were also burning these markets as they sang songs theming the return of Zimbabweans back to their country.

Chin’ono’s Twitter post had quite a caption written:
“In South Africa illegal immigrants mainly Zimbabweans are being hunted like animals. This has been happening since 2008 and @SADC_News has not attended to the root causes. The only way out and only solution for Zimbabweans is to #RegisterToVoteZW in huge numbers for 2023”
