Angie Diale’s family reveals that the cause of death is pneumonia. Television host Angie Diale has passed away at the age of 55. This was apparently confirmed by her family in a statement sent to Daily Sun, adding that the cause of death was a result of a short illness.

The media personality who hosted your favourite TV shows, died from an infection called pneumonia. In the statement, her family confirmed that she passed away during the early hours of Thursday morning, December 23.
“She was suffering from shortness of breath and subsequently treated at Tshepo Themba Hospital yesterday. She was later transferred to Leratong, where she sadly passed in the early hours of the morning.
“We kindly request to be afforded some privacy and time to deal with this sudden loss. Details of the memorial service and funeral will be confirmed at a later stage,” the statement reads.
Angie Diale is known for her extensive work in mending broken families on popular TV talk shows including Relate on SABC 1 and Please Step in on Mzansi Magic. She was not only a presenter but she was also a life coach and HIV/Aids activist who opened up about being diagnosed with HIV almost two decades ago.

On Twitter, the news got broken by Phil Mphela who had a close working relationship with Angie years back.
“Greatest loss in our culture. Their work and influence is immeasurable, believe me, anyone who met these two women will tell, their spirit and compassion was incomparable. Worked with Sis Angie on the Khomanani Campaign few years ago.
“Angie Diale saved lives. She destigmatized HIV. Hers is a legacy that deserves acknowledgement for generations to come. We lost a giant.”
