Chef Lucia: ‘I want nothing to do with Kelly Khumalo’. The former Rhythm City actress and chef Lucia Mthiyane has distanced herself from Senzo Meyiwa’s baby mama and singer Kelly Khumalo.
Mthiyane is responding to Khumalo’s claims that the late soccer star had no idea who she was but he’d seen her talking to Mthiyane and asked her numbers.
‘I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH KELLY’
The popular chef-actress Lucia Mthiyane, who starred in e.tv’s canned soapie Rhythm City told Daily Sun that she wants nothing to do with the singer Kelly Khumalo and refuses to comment on Senzo Meyiwa.
“I want nothing to do with her or the allegations she’s made. I refuse to comment on this issue.”
This is after Khumalo claimed this past Tuesday, 5 July, that she had no idea who Senzo was until a friend told her about him.
The singer also revealed that the late Orlando Pirates player dumped his wife, Mandisa Mkhize for her.
She added in her TV interview:
“Nobody knew who Senzo was until he was attached to the brand Kelly Khumalo.”
The publication adds that in Meyiwa’s biography Decoding 66_9, The Inexplicable life of Senzo Meyiwa, Soweto Mandlanzi revealed that Senzo and Kelly met at a function.
Soweto Mandlazi adds:
“At that time Kelly’s music career had not reached its peak but Senzo’s name was already a big brand among soccer fans.”
Mandlazi adds that Senzo wasn’t clued up about who Kelly was but had seen her speaking with Lucia Mthiyane.

“He asked Lucia for Kelly’s number. Lucia orchestrated the meeting between Senzo and Kelly.”
Mandlazi has also dismissed Kelly Khumalo’s claims that the soccer star dumped his wife for her as he tried many times to break up with Kelly.
“But it was impossible because Kelly would drive to Senzo’s place at night wanting to see him.”
The singer also met Meyiwa’s mother and she wasn’t welcomed into the Meyiwa family as Kelly was aware of his wife at that time.
