‘I am disappointed’: Eskom slammed by Family Feud host Steve Harvey… again! Just one normal day in South Africa – that’s all we ask for, but it’ll never happen.

With Eskom now implementing more load shedding schedules this week, it seems the fortunes of our ailing power supplies have caught the attention of Steve Harvey – and the Family Feud presenter has expressed his ‘disappointment’ with the firm.

STEVE HARVEY CALLS OUT ESKOM
In a recent interview with SA journalist Devi Govender, the American TV host delivered a direct message to Eskom. Steve Harvey revealed that he wants to buy a home in Mzansi, following his successful stint hosting the South African version of the popular quiz show. However, it seems that the rolling blackouts are putting him off completely.

“Dear Eskom, I’d love to purchase a house here – but I want to be able to walk in and have the lights on. In a continent with the most natural resources in the world, why can’t we have the lights on all the time? They’re on in Ghana, and Nigeria, and Botswana. They also have the lights on in Rwanda, but we can’t have that in SA? I’m very disappointed.”

Amazingly, this isn’t the first time Steve Harvey has had a dust-up with Eskom. Last year, his rant about load shedding went viral. On an episode of Family Feud SA, he posed the question; ‘name a reason you would light a candle‘ to competing families. When ‘load shedding’ was a top answer, the 64-year-old was horrified to learn what it meant.

Harvey cut right to the heart of the issue, asking why people must pay for their electricity if Eskom are just going to shut it off ‘as and when they feel like it’. Well said Steve. Well bloody said…
