Amakhosi Under-19 midfielder James McFarlane succumbed to serious injuries following a horrific accident in Johannesburg on Friday.
The former Amajimbos young prospect had captain was once Chiefs under-17 captain and he was a regular feature in Molefi Ntseki’s junior national team.
Chiefs confirmed his passing in a statement released on Twitter on Friday afternoon.
“Gone too soon,” the club said.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing due to a car accident of our U19 Youth Development Academy player, James Mcfarlene.
