The entertainment industry in South Africa has been rocked by the loss of one of its biggest stars, AKA. He was in a relationship with fellow artist Nadia Nakai, who has now been revealed to have possibly been pregnant at the time of his death. This news has come as a shock to many, who had seen the couple as a strong and loving pair.

The two had been public with their affection for one another, regularly appearing in public together and in music videos. They had even gone so far as to get matching tattoos to symbolize their love. Despite their public displays of affection, however, AKA had a troubled past.

He had lost his fiancé, Anele Thembe, the previous year, and had been blamed by some for her death. Anele had allegedly jumped from a hotel building in Cape Town, and while AKA had denied any wrongdoing, he and the Thembe family were not on good terms.
