SA Man builds his own bakkie using metal wire A social media user, Proph Ngobeni, shared photos of an amazing creation online. The images show an unidentified man driving his home-made bakkie. The unique vehicle is made up of scrap materials and is fully functional.

On Sunday, a social media user, Proph Ngobeni, shared with Facebook users why he decided to stay in Mzansi. Ngobeni revealed the level of creativity in the country is something that inspires him.

He posted photos and footage on the #ImStaying and captioned it:

“I’m staying because there is so much creativity in this country”

The images show a man with his home-made vehicle, a bakkie made from scrap materials, second-hand tyres and other spare parts he got his hands on.

South Africans were impressed with the man’s creativity and they applauded him in the comment section.

When our grown up children were in primary school there was a small wire work project on the curriculum. I remember thinking then – that it was much harder to do than what I thought it would be for the children and this really has potential to become ‘something’ in future.

“At that stage wire figurines and little windmills etc was not sold on the roadside as it has been for sometime now and my oh my – some of these creations are done by artists – people who have a really good eye!”
