Siya gets driving lessons from Rachel – Video. Siya Kolisi may have won back-to-back Rugby World Cup titles as Captain of the Springboks, but that doesn’t mean that he has it all figured out.

This fun fact was pointed out by the “first lady” of SA rugby, Siya’s wife Rachel who shared a candid video of her husband tackling the bustling roads of France, behind the wheel of their family car.

That’s right, it seems Siya’s nerves at driving in France has Rachel reliving the first time she gave her husband driving lessons back in 2012.

In a video posted to her Instagram story, Rachel shared that the first time she taught Siya how to drive, he almost rolled her Hyundai Atos.

Siya’s second driving lesson, learning how to drive on the right side of the road wasn’t too bad, and Rachel shared that all the rims on their car was still intact.

While South African’s drive on the left-hand side of the road and overtake on the right, it’s the opposite for most European countries.

The slow lane on French motorways and dual carriageways is on the right, and you overtake on the left lane.

Siya will have to brush up on his driving skills after signing a 3-year deal with French rugby club Racing 92.

The Kolisi’s made their move to France earlier this year to help their kids’ transition, and in preparation for the Rugby World Cup which was held there.
