A Swati woman traditional attire consists of an ilihhiya (cloth wrapped around their bodies), married women must cover their upper torsos and sometimes wear traditional ‘beehive’ hairstyle that clearly indicates their marriage.

While younger single ladies wear only beards over their upper torsos, especially in special traditional events such as weddings, reed dance ceremony and kings coronation.
