Pictures of 21 teenagers who died at the Eastern Cape Enyobeni Tavern. Enyobeni tarven is owned by Mrs Vuyokazi Ndevu and her husband, they are very adamant that they are far removed from the events that took place at that premises.

And that is why they feel like they should probably express how much they were not on scene when this tragedy occurred, and everyone would like to believe them because there is nothing that we can do to change it.

She says she and husband were not around when the incident happened, they apparently received a call in the middle of the night.

Whereby they were told about a group of children that had forced their way into the business premises, in the middle of the night to carryout their fun.

Now the tavern has been shut down pending investigations into the matter, so that the authorities can determine the extent of the criminality that was committed here.

So that the people who are responsible can be held accountable, surely the authorities cannot allow such behaviour to persist and more needs to be done to change it.

A 16-year-old girl says she was at the party but escaped through a window, some had to jump over the balcony because of the dangerous situation that they were in.

Unfortunately things had turned the way that they have leaving the people at a serious disadvantage, because apparently they were locked inside and the place only has one access door and nothing else.

Apparently they brought their own alcohol, but people were seen falling like flies, when they were escaping through an open window which is really unfortunate.

Considering how much the people wanted to get out of that situation but they couldn’t help themselves, this was truly a very tragic incident as bodies were strewn across the floor after the dust settled.

Actually children have been allowed into the tavern for some time now and that is the piece of evidence that can be seen, so it had become a norm in the area for those underage children to find themselves engaging in alcoholic drink and doing all kinds of things at the establishment.
