Before the event that led to the catastrophe, Hellen Wendy, whose Facebook profile states that she works as a nurse in Toronto, Ontario, was in a joyful mood while talking with her fans on the platform.

While Wendy’s device was still recording, she decided to go swimming.

She continued to dive headfirst into the sea while keeping her face submerged for a number of seconds before swimming back to the surface to read the comments on the live feed.

She splashed about in the water for over 10 minutes before she finally decided to jump into what seemed to be the deep end of the pool.

As soon as she started filming herself, 10 minutes and 33 seconds later, Wendy started gurgling and gasping for oxygen while kicking and screaming. She could be heard doing all of these things simultaneously.

At 11 minutes and 54 seconds, she said her last word, after which the video stopped quiet, and the water did not move.

The video continued to record for three full hours till an unknown person came around at the three hour and nine minute point and discovered that she was swimming in the pool.

Another swimmer arrived at the pool and enquired about the incident after arriving. The first person to respond suggests that it may be a poodle or something similar.

“What if it turns out to be someone who has already died away?” Before coming over to check on Wendy and make sure she was still alive, the other person inquired about her status.

They sounded the alarm, and one of them sprinted to the phone to contact the facility’s caretaker.

The recorded live broadcast is still available on Facebook, where it has received over 6,800 comments and 148,000 views, and more users continue to share and comment on the content.

On social media, Kenyans came together as a community to express their sorrow and pay condolences to her family.
